This week in Math, students have been learning about estimating and counting to 50.
Activity: Gather a collection of about 40 small objects (coins, toys, etc.). Ask your child to predict how many objects are in the group by separating a group of 5 or 10 of the objects, then estimating how many might be in the rest of the group. Next, ask your child to count the collection by grouping the objects in different ways (counting by 2s, 5s, 10s, etc.)
Have fun!
