minds/construction                 Our Language arts structure is based on the concept of the Daily 5, as presented by the 2 sisters Joan Moser and Gail Boushey.  Napan Elementary adoped the "5 choice" framework last year as our way to teach reading strategies to our youngsters.  This helps, foster independence and a love of reading by providing them with many opportunities to practice, make choices as well as build reading stamina.  Students have learned how to Read to Self and are practicing techniques of Read to Someone.
