A PEEK AT OUR WEEK! December 8-12th      Continue letters Qq and Rr This week we will meet Queenie quail and Robbie rabbit! Value Lessons=be sure to practice all week long *We are quality friends! *We are radiant and remarkable!   Dec. 1- Monday- * we have art today!           * Christmas Dinner at the Napan Hall- 11:30          With help, Go over your first row of words by sight!   Dec. 2- Tuesday– *  Hot Lunch Day! Do you know what we are eating today??                               *  We have music today!                               * Review your second row of words by sight!   Dec. 3- Wednesday- * Skating today! Helmets and extra mittens                            * Review your third row of words, by sight     Dec. 4- Thursday– * Guidance with Mrs. Sturgeon                       * Poetry folders go home. Read and do the activity. Return it by                        Monday   Dec. 5- Friday – * Pizza Day!          *  Full rehearsal for Tuesday’s concert     What we’re up to:  Language Arts- Pre-reading skills and concepts of print- Phonemic Awareness Rhyme and Syllable awareness, directionality, letters, words, and sentences. Word to word matching as we read simple text.                    Writing recipe- Think of a topic, tell your story, draw a picture and write something for each word you say. (hopefully some matching letters and words we’ve been working on!), labelling pictures.   Math- Counting up to the hundredth day.  1-5    Number Sense: students learn more abo ut numbers and how they relate to one another- more/fewer, numbers before/after others, count by touch, identify number placement on a number line etc. 5 and 10 frames.          Our New Unit- Exploring Numbers- Outcomes to Master… N1-Say the number sequence by 1’s starting anywhere from 1-10 N2-Recognize at a glance and name familiar arrangements of 1-5 objects or dots N3- Relate a numeral to its respective quantity N4-Represent and describe numbers 2-10 concretely and pictorially N5-Compare quantities, 1-10, using 1 to 1 correspondence.
