On Friday, October 29, 2010, Napan Elementary held its annual Pumpkin Carving Event. Thank you to all the parents and family members for coming out to celebrate Halloween with us! A great time was had by all!

Students have been learning about ordinal numbers and their positions from first to tenth.   Activity: Line up 10 items in a row (spoons, cups, saucers, etc.) Ask your child: "What is third? Fifth? Ninth?"

This week in Math class, students will be using coins to find money amounts up to one dollar.   Activity: Place 6 pennies in a row. Ask your child: "How many pennies are there?" Add a dime to the row and ask: "How much money is there altogether?" Continue using dimes to count until you reach 96 cents.

On Saturday, Oct. 16th, 2010, Napan Elementary soccer players attended the Soccer Jamboree at Miramichi Rural School. The weather was optimal and a great time was had by all!

On Thursday October 14th, Kouchibouquac National Park visited our school with a presentation about nocturnal animals. The pictures in this gallery show the Grade Four students touching the wing of a barred owl, one of the owls found in our province.
