Morning Letter

Dear girls and boys,

Hi there!  Today   is  thankful  Thursday, May 7, 2020.

We   have   many   things   to  be  thankful  for.  How   many  can  you  think  of?

 It   is  a _____   and _____ day  outside. (what words would you write?).

The   word   of  the  day  is  that.  I am thankful that it  is  not  raining.  I  am  going  to  pick up litter this morning with  my friends. 

WOW! Did  you  see  the  Snowbirds  yesterday?

That   was   so  thrilling!

I  will  call  you  today!

Be  the  best  you  can  be!

Our word of the day is  that.  Use  it  for STOP!  DROP! and  WRITE! 

t- plop! Vroom!    /  h- plop! Boing!   / a- snore! prssh! Plop!/  t- plop! Vroom!

Get a paper and pencil ready… set the timer for every 20-30 minutes when it goes off, STOP what you are doing and write the word for 2 minutes!  GO!!

 

Activities for Today

Read aloud:  Listen to My Gratitude Jar - Can you retell the story with a beginning-middle- and end.  What was the problem? Did it get solved? How?

Watch – Kid President video

Check out our class group on Epic (check your email) read a book from your “good fit” choices. I will assign some new books today, have a look/have a read.

Language Arts: Writing- Writing: Think, talk, draw, and write.

You can write about something that you are thankful for?

 

Math- watch today’s 3D shape video -

*Continue to work on your 3D model.  Are you able to name the shapes and solids you used?

*continue working on Dreambox J aim for 5 activities per week. Make sure to finish each that you begin… You are doing some good work!

 

Phys. ED and Social/Emotional- Choose activities from the activities posted. Get out and play but also take some time to be still.

Morning Letter

Dear boys and girls,

Good  day!   Today  is  wonky  Wednesday, May 6, 2020.

Things around us are wonky… the weather, the way we are living righ now. What other things do YOU think are wonky?

Wow! It  is  a  c-c-cold and _____ day out side. (what words would you write?).

 “Thank you” Jaykob for your good word writing and story! It made me happy.

The   word  of  the  day  is  are   The Snowbirds  are  going  to  fly  over us  today.  I  am  so  excited!

Listen to The Wonky Donkey and then have fun with the song, get wonky and sing along!
