Stroke                         practice your word list TUESDAY - Hot Lunch Day                     Guidance with Miss Prichard-I Care rule                         Homework: practice Snore stroke, and your word list WEDNESDAY – Homework practice Boing! Stroke and your word list THURSDAY – Homework 'Poetry Anthology' – do activity and review poems.                        (Always look for word wall words!) FRIDAY – Picture Retakes,          PIZZA FRIDAY!                    Pumpkin Carving!  ON MONDAY (sorry for the confusion)My favorite of many school family events!  Students do not wear costumes to this event but are encouraged to dress in festive colors to celebrate Hallowe'en!  We want all students to have somebody to carve with but let us know if not so we can buddy them up with another family.  Thanks!

The children received important information about fire prevention and emergency actions from our firemen guests.  They enjoyed the session and received some gifts from our local fire department.  We thank them for their services and taking time to visit Napan Elementary.

Letters this week  Ee  and   Ff  Ask your children about our Class Politeness Plan!       MONDAY Children met Ellie Elephant today.    TUESDAY - Guidance with Miss Prichard- "I CARE" program  WEDNESDAY *Terry Fox Walk- Families can meet us at the ball field for our annual walk, THANK YOU to all who sponsored and or took part. Children are urged to bring a bottle of water with their names on it    THURSDAY Poetry Anthology goes home!   FRIDAY Pizza Friday- this is our first for the year.  Students can order pieces of hamburg and cheese pizza for a price of 1.50/slice.   PLEASE have money secured in some sort of envelope or container with their NAME and # OF SLICES clearly marked,  this will prevent any UPO’s (unidentified Pizza Orders)!

 VALUE LESSON: we are admirable and angelic children Each week in conjunction with our "Zoo Phonics" we present a value lesson to encourage children to enhance their character.  Students have been learning about Bus Safety and have practiced Fire Drills. Please remind children of the importance of proper conduct during these events.   MONDAY- introduction to Zoo Phonics Alphabet Friends and beginning our Math unit on "Sorting and Patterning"                -September Book Order-IF you are interested in ordering books the deadline is next Monday.  You may pay by cash or cheque (easiest if made out to Scholastic Canada), combined orders are allowed and may be paid with one cheque for total amount TUESDAY- WEDNESDAY- French Class THURSDAY- Poetry Anthology goes home FRIDAY-Have a good weekend!

        We are looking at an uneventful week. This will be the last week of homework except for nightly reading and recording   Letter from the kids~ Dear parents, Starting today there is a new law. You need to be hands free! Please don’t drive using your cell phone, no texting, no I-pods, and no MP3 players. We want you to be safe. Have someone else answer your phone or maybe you can get blue tooth. If you go fishing, please release the baby fish. Next Thursday is our field trip. There will be more information later. Happy Birthday to Christena! She will be 6 years old on Saturday. Hot lunch Tuesday and pizza on Friday! Have a nice day Love, Your children   Tuesday  June 7 Today is hot lunch day, SUBWAY is being served   Wednesday June 8    Thursday  June 9       Friday June 10    PIZZA DAY  bring your money in a container labelled with name and number of pieces.

sunLast Thursday, Napan staff and students participated in the city-wide initiative SHADES FOR FUN.  This event was held to raise awareness of people with visual impairments.  We are truly grateful for the "loose change" donations made to this important cause. A total of over 114.oo was received for the CNIB and the children enjoyed sporting a variety of sunglasses!
