We are working on a unit on food (Mon alimentation) and thought it would be fun to do some procedural writing to show the steps to follow when baking something. "Miam!"

We have almost completed our first month of Grade Five already!
There is a focus this month on school routines and things are progressing well with the Intensive French Program. I hope to put some samples of student work on this page from time to time.
Homework:
I plan to have a consistent routine for homework each week.
Math - There will be a homework sheet each week and students are asked to study their multiplication facts each night.
Language Arts - The students will read in English each night (15 - 20 min) and they have a written reading response each week. Some weeks they will complete a reading comprehension activity in the place of the reading response. I feel it is important to continue with some English writing during the Intensive French block.
French Reading homework will begin soon
